Notice there are fractionals.

Ah yes Sparky thanks for that. The next few years should be interesting to say the least.

Re: US Mint Price List - Higher Premiums

Reading the coin magazines one might "wonder" about the discontinuance of many fractions in the precious metals and the availabilty period of the "ones" (literally - mostly ounces) that they might produce.

One also "wonders" if the old rumors (especially because of the non-audit since the 1950s - and the "deep in the bowels of the earth aka DEEP STORAGE GOLD" USTreasury secretary warning) about selling off America's gold held in their trust might be more than a tad true, right?:yes:

Sad that so many are being hurt by so few. :signs14: I also wonder if they are ahead of the curve and grabbing the premium of MORE real prices?

I'd buy - but I doubt that they make them "too fast" because they don't have the so-called Perth blanks.:wink::signs14:

Looks like there may be more Americans discovering Canadian gold. Maples can be found @ +/- 7% over spot right now. The Canadian mint; and by extension the Canadian government ought to extend a warm thanks to the U.S mint for pricing their coins so bloody high.

Most likely because this memo was drafted awhile ago, when the mint was besiged by pricing complaints. The fractional cancellations are more recent.

From looking at this I would say get your 2009 eagles while you can at lower prices. APMEX has the 1 oz for 59.95 over spot in stock ATM.

It was released 6 January 2009, with prices going into effect January 12th, so it seems pretty recent.

Perhaps they did not realize they "DISCONTINUED" 2/3 rds of the LIST; guess that's close enough for GOVERNMENT figures!
